Summary of Job Responsibility
In order to let management and shareholders of the company know the result of operation and the financial position of the company, Tax & Accounting Senior Clerk performs (i) accounting work for monthly settlement, (ii) accounting work for semi-annual and annual settlement, in accordance with proper procedures complied to the company’s policies, generally accepted accounting principle and other regulation
In addition, to ensure the completeness, validity, accuracy and maintenance of the tax returns, Tax & Accounting Senior Clerk conducts and performs taxation accounting, in compliance with company policies as well as generally accepted accounting principle, tax laws and regulations, under supervision of Tax & Accounting SPV.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring and collecting and checking the necessary data/ information/ documents from other division/ department for provisional closing of accounting books in order to proceed up to cost accounting.
- Performing the preparation of internal journals list such as depreciation etc., and submitting to Chief Accountant.
- Entering the data of internal journals into SAP R/3 subject to approval of Tax & Accounting SPV.
- Ensuring and checking all data entered into SAP R/3 on provisional closing of accounting books in order to avoid the miscalculation of cost accounting by comparing with budget data and supporting documents of monthly result, and obtaining the confirmation from Tax & Accounting SPV.
- Performing the calculation of cost accounting, and entering data into SAP R/3, in accordance with approved cost accounting methods and procedures.
- Checking the result of calculation through the comparative analysis with budget data, in order to avoid mistakes.
- Informing Tax & Accounting Manager & SPV of the result of calculation with analysis.
- Preparing the Monthly Report in accordance with approved from, and submitting them to Finance Director, Finance Division Manager, Tax & Accounting Manager, and Tax & Accounting SPV in reviewing and checking them.
- Submitting the Monthly Report to management of the company and shareholders subject to the consent from Finance Director, in order to let management and shareholders of the company know the result of operation and the financial position of the company.
- Checking the balance of assigned chart of account every month, in order to ensure the accuracy by preparing the check and reconciliation list of such account, and circulating them to Finance Director, Finance Division Manager, Tax & Accounting Manager, and Tax & Accounting SPV every month.
- Preparing and maintaining Fixed Assets Register Book.
- Assisting Tax & Accounting SPV in preparing expense report.
- Performing the stock taking of Inventories with independent certified public accountant on the end of September & March.
- Performing the necessary adjustment entries on the accounting books through SAP R/3.
- Preparing the financial statements and their supporting documents, and submitting them through Tax & Accounting SPV to certified public accountants for audit purpose.
- Assisting certified public accountant in performing audit fieldwork.
- Performing the necessary adjustment, and entering them into accounting book/ SAP R/3 after audit.
- Ensuring that all activities related to the function of Accounting are complied with relevant Acts and legal demands and ethical standards by consulting with superiors and authorities.
- Keeping Tax & Accounting SPV fully informed of all significant matters regarding the function of Accounting.
- Preparing the operational manual for own work and proposing an effective system of accounting works.
- Maintaining good and systematic filling of accounting record and documents including supporting documents.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by Finance Director and, or Finance Division Manager and, or Tax & Accounting Manager or SPV.
- Conducting preparation of tax applications, i.e. monthly tax returns of VAT and Withholding Taxes and annual corporate income tax return and other taxation documentation in accordance with the tax regulations for submission to the tax authority.
- Assisting Tax & Accounting SPV in conducting and preparing the documents or data requested by tax authorities for tax assessment/ audit or for other purpose in compliance with tax regulations.
- Ensuring the completeness of all kinds of tax payment documentation and its proper administration.
- Assist Tax & Accounting SPV in coordinating the tax assessment/ audit conducted by tax authorities in accordance with tax regulation.
- Assisting Tax & Accounting Manager and Tax & Accounting SPV in negotiating with tax authorities in order to minimize damage from their claims.
- Checking the voucher and VAT invoice and other supporting documents and the data, which was entered in SAP R/3 by requester, in order to ensure the completeness, the validity, the accuracy of such record of transaction, by following point of view:
- Checking formality of VAT invoice.
- Reconciling the amount among the voucher, VAT invoice, other supporting documents, the data in SAP R/3.
- Checking applicable exchange rate for tax calculation.
- Make sure that voucher and supporting documents pass the checking item, posting them into supporting books and summarizing or making a list of VAT, W/H Tax, prepaid corporate income tax
- Preparing and filing up the standard form and, or report of VAT, W/H Tax, prepaid corporate income tax and circulating them to Tax & Accounting SPV in reviewing them.
- After obtaining the approval of Tax & Accounting SPV, proceeding the documentation and obtaining the signature of Finance Director or Finance Division Manager.
- Submitting the authorized standard forms and/ or reports to tax authority in timely manner, i.e. monthly or annually.
- Performing and maintaining good and systematic filing of the form and/ or report to be kept by the company.
- Calculating and arranging the necessary tax payment to the tax authority.
35. Preparing the documents/ data requested by tax authorities for tax assessment/ audit purposes or other purposes in accordance with tax law and regulations.
